Summary
Amends the Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963. The amendment to SB 903 changes the daily credit a person incarcerated for a bailable offense can receive towards their fine from $5 to $30 per day. This increase is significant because it aims to alleviate some of the financial burden on individuals who cannot post bail and are thereby incentivized to focus on their rehabilitation rather than prolonged incarceration due to unpaid fines.
