What changed in the latest version
17 added · 17 removedPlain-language change summary
In the latest version of HB 2492, the bill now exempts not only fire apparatus and emergency vehicles but also equipment used for snow and ice removal from the size and weight regulations that typically apply to vehicles on highways. This means that government-owned or operated vehicles in these categories can operate without strict weight limits. This change is significant because it allows for more flexibility in managing emergency responses and public safety during adverse weather conditions, which can enhance community preparedness and safety.
