Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Bill HB 388 now clarifies that individuals are allowed to photograph their own ballots while voting. However, it also includes a strict penalty: anyone who gives or accepts money or valuable items in exchange for sharing or viewing these photos could face a Class 4 felony charge. This change is important because it aims to protect the integrity of the voting process while still accommodating personal documentation of one's vote.
