Plain-language change summary

The recent changes to SB 1532 include a requirement for school district report cards to now include average daily attendance for students with individualized education programs (IEPs) and those with 504 plans. Additionally, there is a new mandate for all school districts to present these report cards at school board meetings and to make them accessible on their websites. This matters because it increases transparency about attendance and helps ensure that families and the community have easier access to important information about school performance, particularly for students who receive special education services.
