What changed in the latest version
214 added · 229 removedPlain-language change summary
The amendments to SB 892 clarify the process for how representatives from the Department of Children and Family Services can access prescription monitoring information. The new version specifies that access will be enabled through an agreement between the Department of Children and Family Services and the Department of Human Services, rather than relying solely on rules established by a committee. This change is important because it sets a clear framework for collaboration between these departments, ensuring that confidential information can only be shared when there’s a legitimate reason, ultimately aimed at enhancing accountability and protecting sensitive information.
