Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to SB 646 clarify the advertising regulations for child care facilities and child welfare agencies. Specifically, it now specifies that only those licensed to provide adoption services can advertise them, making it a Class A misdemeanor for others to do so, with penalties including fines or imprisonment. This change is important because it helps to ensure that only qualified entities engage in advertising these sensitive services, thereby protecting families and children from potentially misleading or untrustworthy advertisements.
