Plain-language change summary

The updated version of HB 3937 includes revised language that clarifies what virtual-schooling is and shortens the timeframe for a moratorium on new charter schools with virtual-schooling components, now lasting until April 1, 2014 instead of December 31, 2017. This change helps ensure a more immediate review of virtual schooling's impact and could lead to more timely policy recommendations. By reducing the moratorium period, the bill aims to foster a quicker assessment of how online education affects students and schools, which is important for making informed decisions about future educational options.
