What changed in the latest version
6 added · 25 removedPlain-language change summary
The updated version of SB 2185 includes the requirement for the Illinois Commerce Commission to provide an annual analysis of alternative energy sources starting in 2014. This analysis will evaluate the costs or savings for consumers compared to current energy prices and forecast new methods to reduce reliance on non-renewable energy. This change is significant because it aims to promote transparency and encourage investment in renewable energy, potentially leading to lower energy costs and a greener environment for consumers.
