The amendment to Bill SB 2806 removes the requirement that private security contractors and related professionals must commute to work within one hour to legally carry a weapon. This change allows for more flexibility in travel time, making it easier for these licensed individuals to meet their job requirements without being restricted by a specific time limit. By streamlining this aspect of the law, the amendment aims to ensure that licensed professionals can carry firearms much like other law enforcement, contributing to their safety and effectiveness while on duty.
