What changed in the latest version
1 added · 21 removedPlain-language change summary
The recent amendment to Bill HB 95 removes a requirement for the Illinois Department of Public Health to notify schools when a student has AIDS or has been exposed to HIV. This change is significant because it aims to protect the privacy of affected students and their families, reducing the potential for stigma and discrimination in schools. By eliminating this notification requirement, the bill aligns with efforts to ensure confidentiality regarding sensitive health information.
