98 added · 113 removedPlain-language change summary
The bill HB 3944 has been amended to clarify the definition of "telephone solicitation" and what constitutes "marketing or opinion research." The changes redefine what actions can be classified under these terms, which helps ensure that businesses comply with the eavesdropping laws while conducting telephone calls. This matters because it sets clear guidelines for what can and cannot be recorded, protecting both consumer privacy and allowing companies to gather needed data responsibly.
