What changed in the latest version

The revised version of Bill HB 1547 has changed the composition of the Commission to End the Disparities Facing the African-American Community. Instead of a diverse group of educators, healthcare providers, and business persons, the commission will now include specific state officials, such as the Directors of Human Services and Public Health, along with members appointed from the Senate and House. This shift emphasizes a more direct involvement of government agencies in addressing disparities, which may lead to more coordinated and effective responses to the issues facing the African-American community.
