Plain-language change summary

In the latest version of Bill HB 4129, the language has been slightly adjusted to clarify how the clerk of the circuit court notifies the nonregistering party and the Illinois Department regarding administrative support orders. Specifically, the phrase "the court shall notify" has been changed to "the clerk of the circuit court shall notify," specifying the role of the clerk, which adds clarity to the process. This change is important because it clearly identifies who is responsible for the notification, which can help ensure that the involved parties understand their rights and obligations.
