Plain-language change summary

The recent changes to Bill SB 1900 involve adjustments to the deadlines for township or multi-township assessors in Illinois to return their assessment books. Counties with populations of over 600,000 will now have extended deadlines ranging from July 15 to November 15, giving assessors more time to complete their work. This change is significant because it aims to improve the accuracy and efficiency of property assessments, which can ultimately affect property taxes and local funding.
