Plain-language change summary

The revised bill SB 3473 now requires that school districts and charter schools post informational materials about type 1 diabetes on their websites, making this information more accessible to parents and guardians. Previously, schools were only required to provide this information to parents at the time of a student's enrollment or in a student handbook. This change is important because it ensures that all families can easily access vital health information, which could lead to earlier detection and management of type 1 diabetes in children.
