Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Bill HB 2131 specifies the makeup of a newly formed Task Force, adding defined roles that include representatives from various sectors such as transportation, public health, and higher education, all appointed by the Governor. It removes broader, less specific language that allowed for a wider interpretation of its membership, aiming for a more structured and accountable approach. This change is significant because it ensures that key stakeholders with expertise in relevant areas are directly involved in discussions about traffic safety and speed limits, potentially leading to more effective solutions in reducing traffic fatalities.
