The latest version of Bill HB 3498 includes new provisions related to scholarships for minority teachers. It now allows scholarship recipients to have their repayment amounts reduced if they start teaching at qualifying schools within five years. This change is significant because it incentivizes graduates to enter teaching positions, potentially addressing teacher shortages and enhancing diversity in the education workforce.
