What changed in the latest version

In the latest version of SB 1721, the role of audiologists has been more clearly defined by specifying that they will be involved in overseeing certain functions of hearing aid dispensers. This change emphasizes collaboration between dispensers and licensed audiologists, potentially leading to better oversight and quality of care for those receiving hearing aids. Additionally, the requirement for dispensers to provide a "User Instructional Brochure" remains, ensuring that customers receive essential information about their devices. This clarity in roles could enhance consumer safety and understanding of hearing aid usage.
