Plain-language change summary

The amendments to Bill HB 4011 now require school boards to create a list of religious holidays that must be recognized as mandatory excused absences for students. This list now includes specific holidays such as Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha, Diwali, Vaisakhi, Onam, Yom Kippur, and Rosh Hashanah. This change is important because it acknowledges and respects the diverse religious practices of students, ensuring that they can observe their significant holidays without penalty in an educational setting.
