What changed in the latest version
24 added · 65 removedPlain-language change summary
The updated version of HB 2182 makes several changes to how Illinois designates highways and regulates vehicle lengths. It removes provisions that previously allowed the Department of Transportation to classify certain highways and simplifies the rules surrounding access for vehicles longer than 65 feet. These changes aim to streamline traffic regulations and ensure that longer vehicles can use more routes without being restricted by unnecessary signage. This is important for improving logistical efficiency and accommodating larger trucks that are commonly used in transport.
