The recently revised version of Bill SB 2325 now includes provisions that allow fire protection agencies and their statewide associations to organize raffles. Previously, it required these raffles to be licensed by the local governing body only if the raffle was conducted within their jurisdiction. This change is important because it acknowledges the unique role of fire agencies in community fundraising while maintaining local oversight, ensuring that they can operate more efficiently to gather support for their services.
