The recent amendments to SB 656 make two significant changes. First, they now repeal the Perfusionist Practice Act effective January 1, 2030, instead of January 1, 2020, allowing more time for professionals in this field to adjust and ensuring they can continue operating under existing regulations for several more years. Second, a small technical change was made to the title of the Illinois Trust and Payable on Death Accounts Act to clarify its name. These adjustments are important as they impact regulatory timelines for healthcare professionals while ensuring clarity in legal language.
