49 added · 42 removedPlain-language change summary
The amendment to SB 482 updates the Criminal Identification Act, particularly in Section 5.2, to include additional definitions for legal terms related to expungement and sealing of criminal records. This is important because it clarifies the language used in the law, making it easier for individuals and legal professionals to understand their rights regarding criminal records. However, a section related to the Energy Conservation Act has been removed, which indicates a shift in focus for the bill. This change helps streamline the legislation to be more specifically about criminal record management.
