The amendments to SB 718 include changes to the effective date of certain provisions in existing law, specifically delaying the transfer of functions from the Council to the Agency until July 1, 2020. Furthermore, the language in the Burn Injury Reporting Act’s short title was clarified by correcting a repetition in the text. These changes are important because they ensure a smoother transition of responsibilities and enhance the clarity of the legislation for those it affects.
