Plain-language change summary

The bill SB 2869 has been amended to clarify how federal funds from the Recreational Trails Program are treated. Specifically, these funds will not be used to support highway construction or added to the state’s "Road Fund." This change is important because it ensures that money designated for recreational trails is separately accounted for, promoting better funding for outdoor activities and preventing it from being redirected to highway projects.
