What changed in the latest version

The changes to Bill SB 2537 now require the Department to attempt to send renewal notices electronically to each licensee at least 60 days before their license expires. This amendment means that licenses will not officially lapse until 90 days after the expiration date, provided the Department has tried to send the notice. This is important because it gives licensees more time to renew their licenses and helps prevent lapses that could impact their professional practice.
