Plain-language change summary

The amendment to HB 4318 adds new provisions allowing the Department to create trust funds and bank accounts for managing the finances related to food shows and promotional activities. The bill now clearly specifies that the signs identifying farms and agribusinesses as "Centennial" or "Sesquicentennial" must not feature the likeness of any public officials. These changes are significant because they ensure that the promotional signs remain focused on the heritage of the farms and businesses without any political influence, which can help maintain the integrity of these recognitions.
