The recent amendment to SB 874 updates the requirements for notifying property owners when their properties have been sold for unpaid taxes. Specifically, it establishes a clear template for the notice that must be provided to the original owners, ensuring that they receive detailed information about the sale, such as the property description and the taxes owed. This change is important because it helps protect property owners' rights by ensuring they are adequately informed of actions that could lead to the loss of their property.
