The amendment to Bill SB 693 updates the effective date for tax changes from January 1, 2021, to March 12, 2021. This means that any modifications to federal tax laws that occurred after March 12, 2021, will not impact state tax calculations. This change is important because it clarifies which federal tax amendments the state will recognize when determining state income taxes, helping taxpayers and state officials understand what tax rules apply.
