Plain-language change summary

The amendment to SB 11 introduces provisions that declare public employee strikes or work stoppages as unlawful. It details the consequences for employees who participate, including potential termination and withholding of pay. Additionally, it restricts school boards from using alternate methods to make up for lost instructional days due to strikes, emphasizing that compliance with educational requirements cannot be waived in such cases. This change is significant as it aims to deter public employee strikes by imposing stricter penalties and restrictions, which could impact labor relations in the education sector.
