Plain-language change summary

The updated version of HB 1621 now focuses on the training of certified sexual assault nurse examiners without distinguishing between adult/adolescent and pediatric examiners, which simplifies the scope of the bill. It also removes a clause that would have made the bill void if specific funding was not provided by a certain date. This matters because it ensures that the program can proceed without the added limitation of funding and broadens the focus on training for all certified examiners equally, potentially leading to more comprehensive support for victims of sexual assault.
