Plain-language change summary

The changes to Bill SB 262 clarify the process for notifying a corporation about its administrative dissolution. The revised bill now specifies that the Secretary of State will send the notification via certified mail, ensuring there is a formal record of communication. This matters because it helps protect the rights of corporations during the dissolution process, making sure that they are properly informed and have the opportunity to respond. Additionally, the updated language enhances the clarity of the procedure, which can help prevent misunderstandings or disputes down the line.
