Plain-language change summary

The revised version of SB 672 now includes specific provisions for Medicaid enrollees to receive coverage for self-measured blood pressure devices if they are pregnant or within 12 months post-partum and have uncontrolled hypertension. It also clarifies that the bureau will draft a state plan amendment to cover these devices and related services, such as training patients on how to use them. This matters because it enhances healthcare access for vulnerable mothers and promotes better management of hypertension, which can significantly improve maternal and child health outcomes.
