Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to Bill HB 4776 specifically outline the conditions under which a teacher can remove a student from their classroom in grades pre-k through 5 due to disruptive or violent behavior. The changes emphasize that a teacher must document the behavior and allows them to retain control over whether the student can return to their classroom unless a school discipline committee decides otherwise. This is significant because it aims to create a safer learning environment for both teachers and students by ensuring that disruptive behavior is addressed properly, without undue pressure on the teacher.
