The changes made in Bill SB 298 clarify that the lifetime hunting, fishing, and trapping license tax credit is available specifically for veterans who have been honorably discharged or discharged under honorable conditions. Additionally, the language was updated to focus on tax credits rather than fees, emphasizing that this benefit applies to all residents of West Virginia who served in the armed forces. These adjustments matter because they ensure that eligible veterans receive the intended financial support while also making the language clearer and more straightforward.
