Plain-language change summary

The recent amendment to Bill SB 435 allows Virginia's Board of Education to let school boards use different assessments instead of the standard growth assessments for the 2024-2026 school years. This means schools can choose alternative testing methods as long as they still meet the state's educational standards. This flexibility can help better accommodate the needs of students while ensuring they still receive quality education aligned with state guidelines.
