Plain-language change summary

The bill SB 554 has been amended to clarify the definition of "neighboring state" by replacing West Virginia with Tennessee. This change is significant because it specifies which states' licenses can be recognized for individuals seeking to work in Virginia, thus narrowing eligibility. The adjustments aim to streamline the licensing process for professionals coming from states that share closer geographical or regulatory ties with Virginia, potentially making it easier for them to enter the Virginia workforce.
