Plain-language change summary

The amendment to SB 1940 made a small but significant change by removing a clause that defined the status of a signatory who is not an owner of a vehicle. This means that only those who are owners of the vehicle can affirm responsibility for the information provided in the registration application. This change is important because it clarifies who is accountable during the registration process and ensures that only those with ownership rights make affirmations regarding the vehicle’s registration and insurance.
