Plain-language change summary

The recent changes to SB 2193 include the addition of specific provisions that make it easier for contractors and certain individuals to transport weapons and ammunition needed for fulfilling contracts with the U.S. government. This includes allowing rifles with short barrels to be transported without being disassembled or rendered non-functioning, as long as certain conditions are met. These adjustments are important because they clarify the legal framework for transporting firearms related to military contracts and historical reenactments, helping to prevent potential legal issues for those involved in these activities.
