What changed in the latest version

The recent amendment to Bill SB 2281 adds clarity about who is exempt from paying the $5 fee for a State Habitat Stamp. Originally, the exemption included several family members, but the revised language now specifies that only the spouse and child of the landowner are exempt, simplifying the rules. This change could reduce costs for immediate family members of landowners who hunt on their property, making it easier for them to access hunting opportunities while ensuring that the fee is applied more narrowly.
