Plain-language change summary

The recent amendment to SB 507 includes a requirement that mortgage lenders must not only send property tax bills but also any associated municipal service charges to the homeowners they represent. This change aims to improve transparency and ensure that homeowners are fully informed about their tax obligations, helping them avoid any surprises or potential penalties related to unpaid bills. Additionally, it clarifies how mortgage lenders should handle these documents, particularly for properties under certain billing methods. By making this requirement clearer, the amendment seeks to protect homeowners and streamline communication regarding their financial responsibilities.
