Plain-language change summary

The amendment to SB 375 introduces a crucial change by specifying that county boards are not allowed to give enrollment preferences to students transferring from certain private or religious schools. This addition aims to ensure fairness and maintain the integrity of public education by preventing preferential treatment based on private school enrollment. This change is significant because it clarifies the rules around student enrollment and helps prevent potential inequalities in the educational system.
