Plain-language change summary

The amendments made to Bill SB 1241 clarify the requirements for individuals applying to take the insurance producer licensing examination in Pennsylvania. Specifically, the definition of "candidate" has been updated to remove references to pre-examination educational requirements, meaning that applicants now only need to show they have applied to take the exam. This change simplifies the process for potential insurance producers and could encourage more individuals to enter the industry, which is important for increasing the number of qualified insurance professionals in the state.
