Plain-language change summary

The recent changes to Bill SB 1102 include the addition of specific requirements for registered nurses overseeing training programs for nurse aides. Now, registered nurses must have at least two years of nursing experience, including a year in long-term care, ensuring they have the necessary background to train new aides effectively. Additionally, the language has been refined to clarify which entity is responsible for reviewing training program applications. These amendments aim to improve the quality of training for nurse aides, ultimately enhancing care for patients in long-term facilities.
