Plain-language change summary

The recent amendment to Bill HR 44 includes additional references to House Resolution No. 99, which reflects the ongoing investigation into George F. Halcovage, Jr., a County Commissioner. This amendment documents the steps already taken by the House, including votes and meetings held, which underline the seriousness of the inquiry into Halcovage's potential misconduct. This matters because it establishes a formal process of accountability for elected officials and ensures that any decision regarding impeachment is based on a thorough examination of the facts.
