The revised version of Bill HR 373 emphasizes the maternal health crisis by including specific statistics regarding maternal mortality rates among Black women. These changes focus on highlighting the severe disparities in maternal health based on race, particularly within Pennsylvania. This is important because it brings attention to an urgent public health issue and aims to inform lawmakers and the community about the need for targeted interventions and support for affected populations. By making these statistics clear, the bill aims to drive action and policy changes to improve maternal health outcomes.
