Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Bill HB 908 specifies that all state buildings must have at least one functioning automated external defibrillator (AED) plus an additional AED for every 70,000 square feet. It clarifies that this requirement does not apply to certain buildings that are not regularly used, such as salt storage facilities and maintenance sheds. Additionally, there is a clearer definition of what constitutes a state building, ensuring that it includes only those owned or leased by the Commonwealth. These changes are important because they improve access to life-saving equipment in public buildings while also recognizing the need to exclude less frequently used structures.
