Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Bill HB 1018 clarifies that individuals prohibited from possessing firearms have 60 days to transfer their guns to someone eligible, emphasizing that this does not apply to certain specific cases. Additionally, it integrates some procedural language and references which may improve the clarity and enforcement of the regulations. This change is significant because it aims to ensure that individuals who may become temporarily disabled from owning firearms have a clear and defined process to follow, potentially reducing confusion and increasing compliance with the law.
