Plain-language change summary

The updated version of SB 140 now clarifies the role of a special prosecutor in investigating crimes within certain public transportation authorities. Importantly, it shifts the language from requiring the Pennsylvania State Police to assist the special prosecutor to allowing them to provide assistance if needed. This change means that local law enforcement agencies will have more flexibility in supporting the investigation, which could lead to more thorough and efficient handling of criminal cases in these transportation authorities.
