Plain-language change summary

The latest version of Bill SB 3170 has made some important changes regarding how township boards can obtain information from electric utilities. Previously, township boards could request customer data only from corporate authorities or county boards, but now they can directly ask electric utilities for this information. This change allows township boards to streamline their data collection, making it easier to manage and support the needs of residential and small commercial customers in their areas. Ultimately, this aims to improve communication and service delivery within communities.
